Henna Ceremony
CARING FOR YOUR HENNA

*For best results, do not use any lotions or oils on your skin for 24 hours prior to application.

*Cleansing the area with alcohol before the application can help the skin to absorb more of the stain.

*Hands, forearms, feet and legs stain the darkest. The farther away from the hands and feet, the lighter your stain will be.

*Be extra careful with your henna while it dries. Henna is easy to smear when wet.

*Leave the henna paste on for 4-8 hours. Overnight is best. The longer you keep the paste on, the darker the stain will be.

*To remove the henna brush it off with your fingertips or a business card.  Do not wash away with water.

*Avoid getting your henna stain wet with water for 24 hours after removal.

*Your henna stain will be light in color and will gradually darken over 48 hours after the paste removal.

*Apply olive oil or coconut oil to your stain to protect it from water when showering or bathing.

*Your stain will have good color for 5 to 10 days and will fully exfoliate in 1 to 3 weeks.

*Some things that can negatively effect your henna stain are Vaseline, mineral oil, baby oil, exfoliators, soap, chlorine or frequent washing or scrubbing of the design.

Henna stains take up to 72 hours to reach a rich, dark color!
